Basic Cinnamon Oatmeal

Oats and cinnamon is a great way to start your day! Heart-healthy, rich in complex carbohydrates, this breakfast will boost your energy and fill you up, while the cinnamon will help keep your blood sugar stable.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

-90g rolled oats

-1/2 teaspoon The Spice Collection Cinnamon

-1 teaspoon The Gorgeous Formula (optional)

-250 ml of unsweetened non-diary milk or water (add more if needed as you cook)

Directions

In a medium sauce pan, add the oats, cinnamon and water/milk, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, over a gentle boil for 5 – 7 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool a few minutes before serving.
Add some of these healthy toppings for a complete breakfast experience: fresh apple, banana, or blueberries; chopped walnuts; maple syrup or honey; almond butter; hemp seeds…

Note: For a sweeter side, add 1/2 well ripe banana
